Twelve weeks, baby!  Emphasis on “baby.”  From crown to rump (and what a cute rump it is going to be), Baby is just over 2 inches long (about the size of a plum, if you enjoy thinking about your baby in terms of fruits, as most parenting sites assume you do!) and weighs half-an-ounce.  Things are changing fast — but we’re sure that’s not news to you. You’re reaching the home stretch of the first trimester (can we get a hallelujah?!) at the 12-week mark, which means your hormones are likely to simmer down a bit — which will hopefully make you feel slightly less emotional.  And, chances are, it will probably help the symptoms wane, too. One warning though: your morning sickness and fatigue might get replaced by headaches and dizziness.  The fun never ends!  The other big change? Baby’s almost done developing her body’s important systems and parts, meaning:  it’s mostly about getting bigger and more mature from here on out.  Which is all good — your baby’s growin’ and movin’ on up to bigger digs!  Digs that may look like any of these:

This woman’s sobbing fits over touching coffee commercials will likely soon come to an end, thank to the end of the first trimester.
